Free Adult Crochet Socks Pattern

Adult Crochet Socks

Size:

S/M
(Approximately size 6-7, it will fit a little looser on a size 6 and a little tighter on a size 7)

Materials:

4 Medium Worsted Weight Yarn
I used Red Heart Super Saver
Colors black and grey
Size G crochet hook (4.00mm)
Scissors
Large eyed needle for weaving in ends

Stitch Guide:

DC = double crochet
SLST = slip stitch
ST= Stitch
CH = chain
CH2= Chain 2

(Make sure your tension is about the same when making both socks or one will be a little bigger than the other one, therefore looking as different sizes.)

Let’s Get Started!
Make first DC on the CH2 ST as Chain 2 does not count as a ST.

Start with black yarn

Rnd 1: Make a magick circle. DC 12 in the magic circle join in the round with a SLST to top of CH2.

Rnd 2: CH 2, DC 2 in CH2 ST, DC 2 in together on next 11 ST(total of 24 DC), join with SLST to the top of CH2.

Rnd 3: CH 2. DC 1 in CH2 ST. DC 1 in next 23 ST(total of 24 DC), join with SLST to the top of CH2. Repeat for 9 rows (total of 10 rows), (if you would like it longer add more rows to prefer size). Join round with SLST to top of CH 2.

Rnd 4: CH 2. DC 2 together on CH2 ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. Next ST, DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next 17 ST. Next ST, DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. Next ST, DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on last ST. SLST to top of CH2 to close round. (total of 28 DC)

Rnd 5: CH 2. DC 2 on CH2 ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. Next ST, DC 2 on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next 21 ST. DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. SLST to top of CH2 to close round. (total of 32 DC)

Rnd 6: CH 2. DC 2 on CH2 (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next 25 ST. DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. DC 2 together on same ST (making an increase). DC 1 on next ST. SLST on top of CH2 to close round. (total of 36 DC)

Rnd 7: CH 2, DC together CH2 and 1st ST (making a reduction). DC 1 on next ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on next 25 ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on next ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on last ST. SLST on top of CH2 to close round. (total of 32DC)

Rnd 8: (Go ahead and join another color or keep using same color yarn, I used gray for this part of the socks,) CH 2, DC together CH2 and 1st ST (making a reduction). DC 1 on next ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on next 21 ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on next ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on last ST. SLST on top of CH2 to close round.(Total of 28 DC)

Rnd 9: CH 2, DC together CH2 and 1st ST (making a reduction). DC 1 on next ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on next 17 ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on next ST. DC next 2 ST together (making a reduction). DC 1 on last ST. SLST on top of CH2 to close round. (total of 24 DC).

Rnd 10: CH 2. DC 1 in next 24 ST(total of 24 DC). Join with SLST to the top of CH2. Repeat for 15 rows (total of 16 rows). (if you would like it longer add more rows to prefer length ). Join round with SLST to top of CH2.
