5 Bulky 100% polyester yarn
I used Yarnspirarions Bernat Pipsqueak Stripes, color playdate
Size crochet hook USI9/5.50mm
Scissors and large eyed needle for weaving in ends

           


Stitch Guide:

DC = double crochet
SLST = slip stitch
ST= stitch
CH = chain

CH 1 =chain 1
CH 2 = chain 2

CH2ST = chain 2 stitch

(Make first DC on the first ST not on the CH 2.)

(Ch 2 does not count as a ST)

Rnd 1: Make a magick circle. Ch 2, DC 10 in the magic circle join in the round with a SLST to top of first DC. Pull yarn to close the magic circle.

Rnd 2: CH 2. 2 DC in first ST (you will have in the same ST, the CH2 and the 2 DC). 2 DC in next 9 ST until end of row (making an increase on every ST, total of 20 DC). Join with SLST to the top of first DC.

Rnd 3:  CH 2. DC 1 in first ST (you will have in the same ST, the CH2 and the DC 1). 2 DC in next ST. DC 1, 2 DC until end of row (making an increase on every other ST, total of 30 DC). Join with SLST to the top of first DC.

Rnd 4: CH 2. DC 1 in first ST (you will have in the same ST, the CH2 and the DC 1).  DC 1 in every ST until end of row. Join round with SLST to top of first DC. (total of 30 DC) Repeat for 4 more rows. (Total of 5 rows). Weave in ends.

Rnd 3:  CH 2. DC 1 in first ST (you will have in the same ST, the CH2 and the DC 1). 2 DC in next ST. DC 1, 2 DC until end of row (making an increase on every other ST, total of 36 DC). Join with SLST to the top of first DC.

Rnd 4: CH 2. DC 1 in first ST (you will have in the same ST, the CH2 and the DC 1).  DC 1 in every ST until end of row. Join round with SLST to top of first DC. (total of 36 DC) Repeat for 3 more rows. (Total of 4 rows).

Rnd 5: CH 1. SC 1 in first ST (you will have in the same ST, the CH1 and the SC 1).  SC 1 in every ST until end of row. Join round with SLST to top of first SC (total of 36 SC).

Cut yarn leave a long enough tail to weave in ends.
